QR code labels: traceability, batch and a link to the customer

A QR on the label does two things: it links the physical product to batch data and gives you a direct channel to the customer after the product leaves the shelf. Technically three things matter: size, contrast and the quiet zone around it.

    • Extended usage instructions

    • Certificates and technical sheets online

    LIMITS

    What to watch out for

    • Inverted QR (light on dark) scans poorly on many phones.
    • On strongly curved surfaces, enlarge the code.
    • Gloss lamination can glare; matte is safer over a QR.
